Sichuan BOMCO Special Manufactory Co.,Ltd.（hereinafter referred to as “Sichuan BOMCO”）is one of the branch of CNPC, which is the best and biggest Fracking Equipment Manufacture in China. Sichuan BOMCO is one of the most important client for Beijing BOMCO Offshore Petroleum Engineering Technology CO.,Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “BOMCOBJ”). At early 2018, BOMCOBJ signed the contract with America TWIN DISC’s China agent to provide Sichuan BOMCO 24 units of transmissions. The contract stipulates that all the goods should be delivered before the end of November 2018. However, until the middle of April 2019, the America manufacture had only delivered 8 units, far from the contract appoints. BOMCOBJ urge the goods by calling、emailing, and sending reminder letter, but the America manufactory was unable to deliver all the remaining goods for various reasons. The delayed delivery has serious affected Sichuan BOMCO’s manufacturing schedule for fracturing trucks, which it also affected the National Oil and Gas production schedule. In order to avoid suffering greater losses, the General Manager of BOMCOBJ Mr. Zhang Guoyao decided to go to the America factory to urge the goods.
On April 23, 2019, General Manager Mr. Zhang arrived the Chicago International Airport after 13 hours flight, he had no time to rest and drove one and half an hour to reach the America TWIN DISC headquarters, met with the TWIN DISC’s vice president of global operations Chris Bridelman, and responsible for contractors, distributors, vice President Darryl Babu and some other related personnel.
During the meeting, Mr. Zhang had a better understanding of the factory’s annual output of transmissions and the use of various models. He also had an in-depth exchange with the other party on the issues of delivery delay, solutions were taken or not, and how to accelerate the delivery speed. The responsible person of the factory made a carefully reply and apologized for the delay.
After further acquaintance, market demand is explosive growth suddenly, shortage of staff members and supply in raw materials are the main reason for the delay. However, the company has fixed all problems and given the latest delivery schedule, the vice president of global operations Mr. Chris Bridelman had sighed on the delivery schedule and made the promise to deliver the remaining goods on time. There had a good news the next day, all the stations had adjusted, specializing in the production of Sichuan BOMCO.
After the meeting, Mr. Zhang and his delegation visited the workshop of TWIN DISC, and praised the factory’s high-level management.
Through this meeting, the two sides have achieved the purpose of mutual understanding, for the supply and the demand of both sides to lay a good foundation for in-depth cooperation.
At present, the trailer, engine, transmission, fracturing pump and other major components and equipment that required for fracturing truck production are all imported from Europe and the United States or other developed countries. The stability and reliability of domestic components cannot meet the standard requirements. Imported components are not only expensive, but also completely out of China’s control, and often delay in delivery. The Western countries make troublesome issue on high-grade products we need, the same situation as chip, therefor, fully localization to replace the imported is the serious problem for CHINA MANUFACTORY. Although some domestic excellent factory is trying to produce alternative, but because we cannot supply the chain of the whole supporting ability and the level is still not so good, make the fracturing truck parts localization can’t replace the imported. The author expects that the dream of a strong country and the dream of a strong China will be realized by making great efforts in these sophisticated manufacturing industries.
